2014 Worcester County Walk to End Alzheimer's for TrialMatch

On Sunday, September 28th, MA HOBY arrived bright and early at Quinsigamond Community College for the 2014 Worcester County Walk to End Alzheimer's. Volunteering on behalf of the TrialMatch initiative, MA HOBY volunteers spread throughout the crowd. They educated the Walkers about clinical trials in Alzheimer's disease research, and encouraged them to learn more and sign up for the free clinical trials matching service. For only a few short hours, we were able to give out a bunch of materials and receive back more than 90 signups! The day concluded with the signal for the Walk to begin. It was truly amazing to see how just a few volunteers could make a huge difference in Alzheimer's research, moving us just that much closer to a world without Alzheimer's disease.
